Hi, I'm Miss Jemma - Principal and lead teacher at Mode Academy of dance.
I choreograph, plan, organise and teach all classes held in Barton Seagrave, Kettering and Papworth Everard, Cambridgeshire.
I also continue to teach at the school in which my love and passion for dance started at the age of 6, Footsteps Dance Academy in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. I currently teach all levels including up to teaching standard, Ballet, Tap, Modern Stage and Contemporary dance.
I have a Degree in Dance Teaching with bbodance and I am also trained to teach with The National Association of Teachers of Dance, which is the current syllabus Mode uses.
Also currently completing my primary teacher training course!
There is nothing more rewarding that watching students come to their first dance class when they are as young as 2yrs and watching them grow and flourish into beautiful dancers with such passion and enthusiasm ✨.
At Mode we cannot wait to welcome more wonderful students into our dance family!
Hi I’m Miss Emily and I’m 22 years old.
My passion for performing and dance started at a very young age where I used to prance around and perform in any space or place. I started dancing with Mode Academy when I was 16 after starting GCSE dance.
I went on to study at a Performing arts college where I took on Ballet, Tap, Modern, Stage, Street and contemporary. I have performed in many dance shows which incorporated Graham, Cunningham, Limon contemporary techniques. After passing my BTEC with high grades I then furthered my education at The University of Essex, where I graduated with BA HONS in Musical Theatre.
I have Had experience teaching dance and performing arts from the age of 17. I now teach with Mode alongside the local children’s pantomime company. I have performed in many shows and pantomimes over the years some included, Snow White, Wizard of Oz, The World Goes Round, Big Fish, Copacabana and I’m most recently preparing for West Side Story.
I love watching children’s passion and talent develop as they engage with performing.
